WFNS President Servadei - Peripheral Nerve Surgery Committee

Lukas Rasulic

“Well done is better than well said.”

Benjamin Franklin

Prof. Servadei has done an outstanding job shaping the WFNS for the past four years for what it is today. He accomplished extraordinary results and expressed great leadership skills, especially in the pandemic era.

As his term as the WFNS President will recently come to a close, the WFNS PNS Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank Prof. Servadei for his hard work and commitment. Over the last four years, his leadership has been characterized by innovative ideas, strategic thinking, and, most valuable, his tireless efforts to increase the credibility of the WFNS and improve the conditions in neurosurgical care worldwide.

The relationships he has fostered with partners and among societies will ensure the WFNS will prosper and continue to offer opportunities to overcome the gap between low- and high-income countries with regards to the application of neurosurgical knowledge and practice. The WFNS Committee of Peripheral Nerve Surgery has been intensively working to promote peripheral nerve surgery and, thereby, motivate more surgeons to start practicing in this exciting area. Even in the pandemic era, we have remained active. We have organized and participated in numerous webinars, and prepared a book Diagnostic Assessment and Treatment of Peripheral Nerve Tumors, which will be published in August 2021. From Prof. Servadei, during his appointment, the WFNS PNS Committee received nothing but support and encouragement in the implementation of all activities, and recognition and respect for the importance of the work to which we are dedicated, which we highly appreciate.

It is our great pleasure to thank Prof. Servadei for his dedication and the tremendous job he has accomplished in his term as the WFNS President and we wish him all the very best in his future endeavors. We hope that he will continue the great work and we look forward to his ongoing involvement in the WFNS.

On behalf of the WFNS PNS Committee,

Prof. Lukas Rasulic

N.B. On a personal note, I would like to express my pleasure and satisfaction for being in a long-term professional and friendly relation with Prof. Servadei which will hopefully continue in many years to come.
